What is an ultrasonic sensor?
Soolo’s ultrasonic sensor is a distance measurement device which registers the distance from the sensor to the nearest obstacle by using sound waves. The sensor sends out sound waves and measure the time it takes them to echo back to it, like a simple sonar. Our sensors are completely water proof and can withstand most types of liquids, which make them perfect for measuring liquid levels.
What can an ultrasonic sensor be used for?
Level measurement
The ultrasonic sensor is well suited to measuring liquid levels, by using it in a pool or manhole, you can recieve exact volume in real time. By placing the sensor in the top of a tank, it can measure the distance to the surface of the tank’s liquid contents, and discern the volume from this distance.
Distance measurement
Soolo’s ultrasonic sensor can be used to measure short, exact distances through echolocation. It measure distances with high precision and is perfect for a wide range of uses.
Ultrasonic sensor
Soolo’s ultrasonic sensor is installed with our Soolo Master device. This is the brain of the software and sends the sensor data from the sensor to your phone or PC. In the app you get real time data and can watch the level in your fuel tank for example. This way you know exactly when you need to refill.
